Susan had to say...I read for business and for leisure. I am a self-employed training consultant and have my own business for the past three years. I work on a freelance basis with companies to design employee training and their performance management systems. I work from an office in my home. Enought about work! I am a mom of two 'tweens', a 13-year old girl and a 10-year old boy. Lots of challenges as they grow and change from kids towards teenagers. In my spare time, I am a cub scout den leader (hence my nickname sue scout) and a parent-helper for my kids 4H club. I also like to create/knit scarves from interesting textured yarns, do cross-stitch and I love to garden. I live in Illinois where there are lots of prairie plants - black-eyed susan, purple coneflower and so on. They do not need much watering so my garden is gradually becomming a 'prairie garden' as I introduce these into the planting scheme in preference to other non-native plants which need more watering and are less hardy to the mid west winters. I like to read books by Joanna Trollope ( I lived in the Uk for 6 years before moving to the US) and her descriptions of the life reminds me of the village where we lived there. I also enjoy any of the Stephanie Plum novels and have read nos. 1 thru 12 so far. I have enjoyed reading some of Debbie McComber's 'knitting' yarns.
